CORALS 2011 Conference- Abstract Deadline: February 23  2011

The Conference on Micro-Raman Spectroscopy and Luminescence Studies in the Earth and Planetary Sciences (CORALS II) will be held will be held May 18-20, 2011, at the Spanish CSIC Central Campus in Madrid, Spain.

 

Purpose

The primary aim of the conference is to assess the state of the art and reliability of micro-Raman spectroscopy as well as luminescence-based spectroscopy and microscopy and related techniques in Earth and planetary sciences.

The conference will be organized to maximize transfer of knowledge among the participants. The scientific program will provide a comprehensive overview of recent results and development trends in optical and luminescence spectroscopic research applied to Earth and planetary sciences.

Registration

The registration fee for this conference will be €300 for professionals, €150 for students, and €150 for guests. Registration includes the welcome reception, coffee breaks, lunches on campus, a gala dinner banquet, a wine and spirit tasting during the poster session, the field trip on Saturday, and the program and abstract volume. Medical insurance during the dates of the conference is also included. Accommodations are not included, and are the responsibility of the individual participants.

The deadline for registration in advance of the conference is April 18, 2011. Registration after that date will be onsite only (cash only), at an increased fee of €400 for professionals, €200 for students, and €200 for guests.

Participants from outside Europe for whom it is difficult to make a money transfer may submit the registration form by the deadline but pay the reduced fee on site.
